The imaging characteristics of invasive micropapillary carcinoma are highly suggestive of malignancy. The lesion is a high-density irregular mass with indistinct margins associated with microcalcifications on mammograms; a solid irregular hypoechoic mass with indistinct margins and frequent axillary nodal involvement on sonograms; and a multifocal mass on MR images.
